So I am officially in love with the log cabin blocks. Once the cutting part was over, speed piecing was a breeze...I loved, loved working on this top and I see many more log cabins in my future.

The pattern is from a book called "Log Cabin Quilts for Everyone.", and it has about 48'' diameter. Cutting into the middle was a bit nerve racking...and binding was just a pain, well I guess I made it one when I decided to match the binding strips to the background color so I had to have the separation of white/red at the exact point there. Oh well, I made it work, and I think it turned out nice. Now I hope that is the only snow we'll have this Christmas
