1. Size of boards
2. laying fabric
3. folding fabric (have your fabric neat not wrinkled!) Have fold near you and selvedges away from you. Bring selvedges to the fold and firmly hand press to keep neat. The remainder of the fabric will be in a chait that is cloth so it doesn't slide around and off the chair. This is important! It took me a bit to realize I needed the fabric on a cloth chair. It works well and keeps the weight evenly distributed for ease of folding. LOTS of pictures to come! Pictures are 1-24

Here I am folding the larger piece, it measures 3 yards. I have successfully wrapped 9+ yards on these little babies! I was shocked that they could hold that much fabric. If you look closely that particular bolt is a Caribbean blue over my right shoulder in the blue shelf. It will be the fat bolt! Fold selvdges to fold towards you. Don't stress this should be fun. I was stressed :? But as I was able to see them lining up I was so tickled to be organizing my mess. I wish I would have taken better before pix of these shelves, but I was honestly embarrassed.

smaller pieces of fabric to wrap on little tiny bolts. Arrainge your shelves how you like them I rearrainged these a zillion times till I got what I lkied. On the smaller bolts my DH wrapped several cardboard empty bolts from Jo Ann's fabrics and I slid them behind me little tiny bolts to keep them from falling back. This keeps the tiny bolts forward. This worked great for me. You may find some other way that works best for you. If you find a better way Please share it with us so we can try it out too.

We are in the final stage of the thread.I am wrapping the tiny 4"x 7 1/2" boards. I wrapped fabric that was 1 yard or less. I secured most of these with straight pins. I used my "bolt buddies" for my larger bolts.

Done with the tiny bolt. To keep me organized I have got to put it back where it belongs! ;-)

I love my little Sunshine. She is always so expressive and the mouth piece for her momma and her brother! Gee I sure do love her!!! :-D

The pix following pix to come are of my ceiling DH is adding more lighting for me to see better in my quilt room. He is so wonderful to me! We are off to have breakfast! I hope this tutorial has been helpful. In closing I must give a huge thank you to the lady that first gave us the idea to use the sign material. I don't know her name but she is brilliant. Also to wine woman who did this before me and helped me with sizing. She is wickedly organized. And lastly to my DH (gee this sounds like I am accepting a grammy) he cut all my boards and encouraged me all along the way. I was many times feeling like I would never even fill one row on my shelf but little by little I got it to where it is today.
Take care and please post pix as you wrap and tidy your shelves. And don't forget to check on Craig's List for shelving and hutches and entertainment centers. They work so nicely and are great if you are on a budget like I am! :D

This is my last 2 pix. This is my ceiling under construction as DH puts in 9 recessed cans to brighten my room. Woo Hoo!! This will be wonderful. If you all want to see my big board (for on top of my ironing board) he built please let me know that too!
Thanks for all the encouragement to get this posted, I hope this is helpful and if you need any more help I am just a plane away. I am just itching to be somewhere warm.
Warmly,
alaskasunshine :-D :-D :-D
