Depending on how long you cut your wedges, it will be approximatly 6-8 inches wide. This one is about 8 inches wide.

I really like this, and you did a great job on the tutorial and pictures! Thanks so much. I hope to get the time to make this before Christmas.

What a great tute and such a pretty tree skirt! I have loads of Christmas fabric so will make one of these. I have a 30" ruler so could make one with 12 wedges.

Thanks for sharing. I sure could have used this about a year ago when I was making DS &DDiL their tree skirt. I don't know how many times I had to rip out all the wedges because the middle puckered. Now I know having the simple tools would have made it sooooooooooo much easier. I'm bookmarking this. Thanks again. :)

That is really nice never saw a ruler that long is it really 22 inches long? Is this the same ruler they use for the saucy spiral table runner?

Oh, I didn't realize there was such a ruler! I've been looking for nice tree skirts every year...Usually attempt to purchase after Christmas as they're so expensive. We have 6 trees in our home (all artificial due to allergies), and instead of waiting all I have to do now is purchase the ruler! Thank you for your tut!

Thanks for the tute. I've been looking for a tree skirt pattern. I'm going to look through my stash & get started.

Great, please post pics when you get one done. I've never seen a 30-inch ruler.
