And a big thank you hug from this avid comfort quilt maker. I have my fast and easy go to patterns but yours are great and it's nice to have some alternates.
Mine is just alternating an 8.5" large square with a 4P square. Can be varied in so many ways for different looks. I make the 4P block using 4.5" squares. Thus both end up finished at 8" sq.

This is a great quilt; I love the colors. it seems to me it would be a great quilt in any color scheme. I have to remember this one and try it.

I am currently making denim rag quilts and this pattern could easily be used for that as well.
