I forgot to add one of the most important things!

The blocks are 8"x8" and the matching border is 8" wide. It can be adjusted by using narrower or wider strips.
Quick question.... Is the 8" finished or unfinished?

I actually made two using the same border. I had enough scraps left over from the first to make a second. Both are here -
