The charm pack I used is 5" I would not recommend going smaller it would make the middle too small and harder to work with.

I cut 1 1/4" from the middle line on all 4 sides.

I have no idea what I would do I just started sewing them together. I like the 4 patch look and would use the dark red as border and some tan I think. It is my favorite block so far!!!

On the left hand side right above the word Author, there is a tab that says Bookmark. Click that and go from there.

That is so nice. Just joined minutes ago and right off the needle saw your lovely work. My daughter loves log cabins but I thought it would be nice to do something different. That is only one I have ever done. Great instructions . Thank you !!!!!!!
