THANK YOU!
Knowing it is helping people is all the thanks I need. Hmmmm You could buy my...... LOL no just kidding. *Grin*

I just like to teach and I like to help. It makes me feel good. I am also learning as I go. And when I learn something I always have this compulsion to show someone what I learned and how fantastic it is! It frustrated me when I came up with some of my cut down methods because I had noone to share it with! So being able to share with you all makes my day!

I do like to hear that people are benefiting from my lessons. It helps to know I am not just doing this for nothing and am not wasting my time.

I hope to see lots of people coming up with new quilts and new projects because they used their EQ program!! I love to use mine to jot down ideas and keep track of things I want to remember. If I see a technique or a pattern I want to go back and use then I put it on my EQ. I know I won't lose it then.

Rhonda, I have EQ5 and haven't used it too much. Should I upgrade to EQ7 or just use what I have? Since you have both you can enlighten me. Thanks.

My first reaction is to use what you have and get used to it first and then upgrade. but it also depends on what you want to get out of using it. EQ7 has lots of features that are really cool. It might also be good to use the up to date program and learn to use it from the start. the 3 versions share alot of features but the EQ7 has a few things that make life easier. If you are going to be a casual once in awhile user then I would use the one you have. If you are going to spend any real time using it to design your quilts and figure yardage and want to use some of the cool new features then I would say go with the upgrade. The 7 version has a feature that lets you merge a block into an already existing block. there are more border options and layout options. I haven't explored alot of it yet so I don't even know what all 7 has that the other two don't.

In time I plan on covering the new features in 7 but I want to explore all of 5 first. So if you want to learn on 5 and then decide when we get to 7 if you like the new features enough to buy the upgrade then you could do it then.

If you see 7 on sale and want to jump on it that is an option too.

It's really all up to you tho and how you would use the program.

Thank you for putting these lessons together. I am looking forward to going through them in detail. For now, I'm just getting them saved to my pc. I've had my EQ7 for a couple of years and am only now beginning to use it very much. I really am looking forward to learning more about it.

Rhonda...is there a quick link to # 11 and 12? Have been off Board for several weeks due to illness and just trying to catch up on the tuts. Thanks for all you do!

Does anyone know if you can create foundation piece patterns in EQ6 and Applique patterns? I just purchased it and I haven't gotten it in the mail yet but those are the two things I was needing to know?
