Lovely blocks!! I keep thinking about all the ways those 10 minute blocks could be altered and I really like this one.

That looks so sweet. I do have the 10 minute block book.
I like the strips and the fussy cut flower. Thanks for sharing. |

So inventive! It's gonna look great when you finish!!
|
I never thought about using striped blocks, I really like what you did, it looks so sweet. Thanks for sharing this idea.
|
Oh I like what you did with it. I just finished making one and I am impressed with how you planned it out. You definitely HAVE to plan when you do this one. I finally bought the instruction booklet. It has a lot of ideas and the instructions. I think yours are even more specific for the strips. Good job. I can't wait to see it finished. I like those colors too.
|
Thanks

That is a great idea... never thought of that. I'm making a king size quilt now using the 10 minute block system with 10" blocks. I didn't buy the book... just watched the video and it's really easy to figure out.... Just take your time and the results are fabulous. It goes together really fast. I got 26 blocks made in about 15 hours...(That included all the ironing, sewing, pressing seams open, and also ironing 5 yards of backing fabric.)
|
Thanks so much for the link. Love it.
|
How do you save a Utube site? Every time I try it hangs up my PC.
|
I just tried saving "YouTube" What I did was do google search for "youtube quilting tutorials" and went onto Missouri Star Quilt video and when I go directed to that site I did a "Favorite" and saved it as a favorite under my Quilting favorites. I don't know if that helps you or not??
|
I found if you save during the video, the favorite is accepted. not before or after the video type.
try this. hope it all works out . Ell YouTube - 10 Minute Blocks & Quick Tricks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgAZ3_xdkGw |

I can't believe I never heard of this. It is amazing what you can do with those, perfect when you need a quick quilt.
I love yours, especially the cathedral window one with the little smiling flower. It hurts my head trying to picture the steps necessary to make it happen:) |

i COULDN'T FIND IF YOU STATED WHAT SIZE YOU CUT THE STRIPS AND THE SIZE OF THE MIDDLE BOX. THANKS.
i LOVED THIS PATTERN AND WILL MADE A BABY QUILT IN NEAR FUTURE WITH IS PATTERN |
2 1/2 inch strips, to make 6 1/2 in block. think that is what I did with a 1/4 inch seam allowance.
my favorite block is a 6 1/2.. have a template for that. |
