#1piecemaker 02-18-2011 05:40 AM

So neat!!! Wish I had know this sooner. I'm just about finished with the one I've been working on the old way.

Jeanniebelle 02-18-2011 06:07 AM

vtretire 02-18-2011 06:07 AM

Thank you. Looks much quicker to make. Great for using up scraps, which I am over run with.

ksea 02-18-2011 06:08 AM

Jan thank you so much!!

busygranny 02-18-2011 06:18 AM

I've tried everything--doesn,t work. Will some one PM it to me? Thanks

Jan in VA 02-18-2011 06:19 AM

Wow, it's so rewarding and validating to have helped so many of you with this pattern! PM me any time with questions, I really do not mind helping. :-)

I've never made a card trick quilt, not even in a seminar where Mary Ellen Hopkins taught it this way. I only made one block and went on to another project. By the way, that seminar was in Las Vegas, honestly!, and no, the "other project" was not in the casinos, LOL! No one believes me when I say I once spent a week in Vegas and never left my hotel OFF the strip.

I tried that that-- paper came out blank

irma tapia 02-18-2011 06:27 AM

WOW, those were great instructions! Thanks sooooo much! :-)

stichinluvr 02-18-2011 06:28 AM

Thank you! I'll try this out! Looks much easier than trying to play with triangles.

irma tapia 02-18-2011 06:29 AM

What is PM?

SandyMac 02-18-2011 06:29 AM

I converted Jan's tutorial to pdf. Hope this attachment works. I have never attached a pdf here before.

laurlync 02-18-2011 06:47 AM

Jan, I didn't see the setting triangle cutting instructions in the tutorial. Did I just overlook them? What size triangles did you use for the 10" blocks?

This is a wonderful tutorial. I am definitely adding this to my list. Thanks so much, Jan. This is very clear and I love that your added the diagrams.

It is private message. Go to the top of the page and there is a section "private messages". You can send anyone a message and no one else can read it. Use this especially if you are sending your name and address. This is a public board and you don't want to publish that information.

mhansen6 02-18-2011 07:06 AM

Thank you. I will try this.

Jo Belmont 02-18-2011 08:05 AM

A lovely, easy tutorial. Now I'm anxious to try this one.

WI Rose 02-18-2011 08:37 AM

Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try this soon.

Debd 02-18-2011 08:40 AM

This looks very cool. I'm seeing charm squares being used, saving the extra small square for borders or some such use. A very colorful quilt in my future!

susie4 02-18-2011 08:49 AM

this technique looks similar to Eleanor Burns "winning hand" quilt pattern......looks a lot easier than the original way

Okay, after several fumbles I have re-written the SETTING TRIANGLES INSTRUCTIONS into a MS Word doc. and will send it email to anyone who sendS me their regular email addy. I am hoping someone here will be able to convert it to a pdf. format for me and put it back into the tutorial, as I do not have that capability currently.
