Cathedral Window rolled type binding

When I posted my ‘Pinklet’ quilt yesterday I received several requests for a tutorial on the technique I used for my binding. I had some quilting practice pieces leftover from another quilt. I had used it to play with stitch length and tension so it’s not very pretty but it worked for this purpose. Come to think of it, I will probably use it as a large mug rug at my desk. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you, I will try your method.

Nice Tutorial Sis. I'll definitely use this on a quilt. I have my eye on a pattern that I think it would work well on. This was a great idea.

Thanks so much for the Tute!! I immediately went to look at the quilt I'm binding now, it has a border print with a scalloped edge and I thought this would be perfect for it. Still might be although I think my border print comes a tad close to the edge to get the right effect. I might play with it. If not ... the next quilt top that needs to be quilted would look lovely with this treatment.
Thanks again!! I am truly grateful for you - and everyone else on QB that has shared their ideas so freely. |
