Where do you begin? I sense a new quilt avenue for you. G |
Beautiful block and a nice tute. Thank you.
I wanted to suggest using Glue Baste It. (School glue would probably work, too with a small applicator tip.) I took a class recently and we used the glue baste, making small dots and finger pressing the strip down. It works beautifully and you have no pins to distort the bias. We used tweezers to pull the bias strip under where needed, after leaving an inch or a little more space unglued to create space to pull it under. I really love the colors of your block as well! |
Very nice tute. Thanks. the block is so pretty.

I was wondering if you could sew this with a double needle?your block is very pretty.

beautiful bias. wish i'd had this when i started making my wall hanging. as it was, i learned a lesson with the 1/4" bias maker, don't cut 1/2 strips like it calls for, cut 5/8". made a huge difference and don't use continuious strips. the 1/4" tip is too small for the bulk. the shorter strips are so much easier to control and really the overlaps are easy to hide.

This is so stunning looking. Still looks really difficult, though!
