So beautiful. Thanks so much for the tutorial. I would like to make one with some gold lame' just here and there in the skirt and then make a gold lame' ruffle around the edge instead of binding.

So glad someone reposted this. I have been wanting to make a new tree skirt. Now to find that ruler. I also found a tute that uses a regular ruler.

Check Cheryl Phillips' web site. She has some free patterns using her templates and rulers. Don't remember if there is one for that ruler.

I made this years ago, but lost the pattern. I all but figured it out. Thanks for the tut.

Does anyone know which 10 degree wedge is used for this pattern/

Here is one I copied from the Moda website when it first came out and put in a notebook, now cannot find the notebook, went in search of it online. This is more of a table cover than tree skirt.

I have seen this ruler but couldn't visualize what you would make with it. Your Christmas Tree Skirt is great. Thanks for sharing.

I don't know if anyone told you, but that ruler comes in a package with patterns for use printed right on it. When I made my first quilt with it, I used a 56" background fabric and glued the points down with Elmer's school glue, then hand blind stitched it down. Just be sure your Dresden plate lies flat because it will not 'quilt out'. (Mine started as a volcano and I stitched and stitched until it was flat. Now I have a permanent line on my machine to follow for accuracy.)

Thank you to the original poster. I would be interested in making this tree skirt.
