OK, let's see how really dumb I am at this.
First of all, where (what link) will I be using? Is this on the main site? GramMER |

1. first, clip the corners of your first flower petal. you don't need to clip the center. 2. lay your first petal face down on the center, making sure it all lines up. 3. sew your first seam. make sure to stay between the clip lines. backstitch at the beginning and end of the seam The link is: http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/3419.page GramMER |

any suggestions? One small suggestion: you might feature the various links in your footer or maybe on the top of the topic thread for people like me. GramMER |
I am a new member and hope I'm not doing anything wrong, but I found a site with beautiful Jewish fabric and patterns.
http://www.faynicolljudaicadesigns.com/index.html . I am not Jewish but they are my ancestors in faith and I am going to make some of the wall banners with the Star of David. |
it looks like you are using a rubber stamp or printing program for marking the hexagons onto your fabric... Which is it and where do you get it?
|
i use Corel Draw.
i iron the fabric to freezer paper and run it through my printer. there's a downloadable template file available at the beginning of this topic. by coincidence, i'm making a quilt right now using hexagons. so, i've been experimenting with an easier way to cut and mark the hexagons without wasting as much fabric as is wasted by printing them. i plan to share it as soon as i can put together post-worthy instructions. :-) |
