Hi!

A few years ago I learned a technique very much like this one but it was called 'mile a minute' cuz you took a long strip of fabric and a added small piece and another and another, didn't matter the shape or size, until the strip was full and then kept strip piecing .... miles and miles of it. Then snipped apart and added another piece of fabric to each of those little 2 pieces .... not sure I'm explaining it right.

The blocks come out looking very similar. Great way to use up scraps, but have to admit it also makes more scraps in the process, :D

Fun project to get a scrappy look quilt.

thanx for sharing!

hugs sue :D

The above blocks are large...either 10 1/2 inch or 12 1/2 inch.

Sometimes I like to add a fussy cut scrap piece to make the block a bit interesting.

Wraez - they come out with the same look!! I too, placed in each block a picture of something...turning it into an I spy quilt too!! - Great minds think alike...you blocks are great...I love all the bright colours too!! :D

Great minds, Izy I like that! and I hadn't thought about the blocks being an 'I spy' but you are right... great minds indeed

Isn't quilting fun, creative, and intuitive too....thereby the fabric with pictures.

I couldn't agree more wraez....my crumb quilt is for my great nephew who is coming up to his first birthday in July...I wanted this quilt to appeal to him for as long as possible...but doubt whether it will last as long as I would like it to

I can't believe how easy that is, can't wait to have enough pieces to try it

This tutorial is still attracting interest, so I am posting this message to keep it on the first page :D
