Dear Jane BLC Goshen Cornerblock

I was looking for help for the block on this board and could not find any. So I figured I could document the way I made it............after a lot of thinking and trying and this may help others.

I printed the block several times in order to cut pp templates. After piecing the small star in the middle the traditional way I figured that it would be hard to resew the sections of the next round as the block is not in a right angle.
I decided to pp in circles:

I could not figure out how to add text to each picture but I think they speak for themselfs. The small star in the middle I pp the traditional way as well as the triangles for the sides. The two squares at the bottom are appliqued to the triangle.

I am quite happy with the outcome...........a lot of matching points. Also the one at the bottom in the middle. Stupidly that point is in the middle of a little white flower and appears to be slightly off in the picture. It is not....

Interesting piecing - your finished block is awesome!! I do have to ask if the 'hole' one picture up from the top - is going the wrong direction ?? When you put the third round around the center square, the actual sewing line is rotated a quarter turn from the hole in the picture - so that the square gets sewn in the direction it lays in the photo... kindof as if you slide it over rather than sew it in the hole shown, right??

Dear Gus

I am so sorry........I have been reading your question over and over again but being not of english mother tongue I am simply overasked. I dont have a clue what you are asking and maybe somebody else can help.
