Thanks for this idea. I am making a yo yo full size bedspread for my retirement gift to me with all of my various scraps in my sewing room. Decided to have my grandson make a box for my room with the left over scraps from the quilt. Am going to have him decoupage pinked squares to it. I am also thinking of making a yo you rug to match the spread. It has been fun.

I have used a product called Laminate It. Used it to cover two dressers with fabric and they have held up beautifully for years. No need for any top coat of varnish to protect.

I have a plastic tray I might try this with. Would be perfect to put on my new oversize ottoman/coffee table for drinks, etc. as right now a big book works.
