Diagonal Disappearing 4 patch tut

6 Attachment(s)
This is how I made the DD 4 patch I posted last week.
First I used a 4" wide ruler placed it so I would have 2" on each side. Cut corner to corner turn and cut corner to corner the other way. Having a mat you can turn helps immensely.

attached the middle square to 2 of the outside pieces contrasting colors..

Sewed the sides with opposite colors together.

add sides to middle.

cut and square up block.

This is what I have done so far. Hope this helps to answer any questions. If not just let me know and I will try to any questions you have.

Thank you.

I really like your quilt and hope to make one like it some day. :D I have a couple of other tutes for similar patterns, but they are a bit more complicated than yours. Like like yours better! Thanks!

These disappearing techniques sure make quick work for some difficult looking quilt patterns

denveremerson 10-26-2015 02:32 PM

Would this work for only 2 colors (same 2 colors, different patterns and shades)?
