DIY Suspension System $60.00

2 Attachment(s)
I made a DIY quilting suspension system for my mid arm that was super easy and cheap. It would work for domestics, too.

2 dog grooming arms..mine were on sale for $25.00 each and are height adjustable, 2 bungie cords and 2 clamps with holes in the handles for the bungees to attach to.

That was about it. Took me 10 minutes and works great. I think you do have to re-adjust it often, but I can get to all corners of 12" block with no drag, so far and as I learn to work with them it might get even better. It makes a big difference.

You are so clever. To me, there's nothing better than a DIY project. You Rock!

That is some amazing ingenuity!

Great innovation!!

How are the uprights held onto the table?
I'm asking, because it doesn't look as though it is clamped and
that it just goes down the back of the table.

Thanks for the info.

The dog grooming arms were a stroke of genius! Way to go, Watson!

Well done!

Quilt E, the arms come with clamps. They are clamped onto the table at the back.

Thanks!!!

.... and now, for more questions ... being that we are somewhat "neighbours" ....
Where did you get the dog grooming arms?
Their not-on-sale price would be?

(thinking that I might score the same sale!)

I got them from Ren' s Pet Warehouse. The website said $39.00 I believe but the sales lady only charged me $25.00. Clamps and bungies from Dollarama.

Thanks ... just called Ren's here, and yes, they have them but no deal! :(
I even tried pleading that you had got a sale on them, but no dice!

So I will wait and watch for now.
I do have the clamps and bungies already.

I called a few other places and all referred me back to Ren's, so I guess that is the place to go.

It looks pretty slick and fits nicely with your Tiara set up.
BTW ... love the looks of that quilt!
