:-D :-D :-D I hope this will all work out. Here is how I made my ear warmers. I'll try to put the instructions in the caption of each picture. supplies needed. The pattern piece and some fleece. Fleece works best for these as they have just the right "give" to the fabric and will have just the right stretch also. It's a lot warmer too but for this tute I did not have any fleece so I 'm using a pink valour fabric with batting and at least it will give you the idea of how it is made. Just pretend it is fleece. No batting needed for fleece at all. Ok I will start posting the picks with the instructions. Good luck, Huggies, Fay..Note: you may have to resize the pattern piece and you can do so in your scanner if it has that capability. THe measurements are written on the paper

The pattern piece

Cut two of fleece and open up

Pin right sides together and sew 1/4" seam around the ear flas side

Sew around the earflaps side wiht 1/4" seam allowance

Trim with pinking sheers if needed

turn right side out and stitch the short ends together with 1/4" seam

Finish turning it right side out and fold down 1/2" and pin and then stitch all the way around the band

Now stitch wiht 1/4" seam aroung the ear flaps side

Now smooth it out and your done! Enjoy

Now just remember there is no batting if using the fleece. I just used what I had to make the tute and this one that I finished did not work out because the fabric shifted, so you may want to try a walking foot or one of those roller type of foot and extra pins. Any way, this one I just used for the tut is too small for me head so it might work for one of the children, but I'm going to see if I can fix where it shifted. Anoter thing it doesn't do well for a person weho wears hearing aids unless they are the "in the ear" type. Ask me how I know???? Huggies, Fay

Same here and I wear two of them. I used to have the in the ear type and those work well, but maybe if you adjust it to fit a little bit looser it might work or turn down the aids and see how that might work. It's worth a try. I haven't tried these on with hearing aid, but I do remember that reguler ear muff didn't work well with hearing aids at all. I don't wear ear muff or any thing like that but if it should get record cold, then it might be a must if I have to go outside in the cold frigid temps. We had record cold and got snow before Thanksgiving and it was around for a little over a week and all that ice too. Didn't go out at all unless I absolutely had to. Have a great night, Huggies, Fay
