Thanks for the help in matching intersections. I have always had trouble with that so your tute came in very handy.

great tute.I always chain stitch but not like you, your idea of stopping short is the ah ha moment-mine always moved off a little at the end of each pc.

SOOO after a few trials and errors, I found a way that makes it easy!! I am sure that some of our more experienced quilters will have already worked this out, but for all the newbies out there..... it works, give it a try!!

I hope the file opens for you all, if not can someone please compress it further if possible Oh Patrice.......  :D
Thankyou so much Izy for your tutorial it has helped to improve my skills, i was using a similar method but not butting up as you have shown. May I suggest tha you sign your tutorials so that in the future one knows whose interlectual property it is. As a Qualified Trainer and Assesser I always sign my tutorials and suggest that my students do the same. I tahnkyou once again for your kindness in sharing.

Thank you Sandi-Lou, it is a fair point, but as a 'novice tutorialist' for the Quilting Board I presumed everyone would know it was mine through the topic

Thanks Rebecca, yes it IS easy, if you butt right up close so there isn't even a stitch length between them you CAN'T mess up! I don't even pin now ...no need!

Oh My gosh I want to scream and quit quilting ....I don't know what I'm doing wrong here I can't get the bottom to rows to line up.....

DOTTYMO 11-21-2012 06:50 PM

His grace it looks to me as if the bottom one is slightly smaller than the one above. Look at the white fabric where it meets the dark brown triangle they are off . Centre is correct . Undo seam by white triangle and you need a scant 1/4 inch try 2 or3 threads on each side only. Good luck.
