I taught a class last year on how to make fabric covered journal covers. They are fun and great gifts. I believe if you download the file you should be able to print it out.

Those old fashioned composition journals the black and white ones. You can buy them at Wal-Mart for a buck.

This is an example of the hair bands you use- fun colors

Thank you so much for the dl instructions. I wish I understood how to use my computer as well as I do my sewing machine. I am so fortunate that a lot of you are able to post web sites and instructions for me. Thank you.

Thanks for the directions to your journal cover. I am going to apply this technique to my Bible. Hopefully I can adapt it.

Hi Emmy,
I have the KK loom but I have not figured out something about it. I hope you can help. I know how to get the first 2 rows of wraps on but when I start to "take" the loops off the "stitches" are VERY loose. What am I doing wrong? I want to learn how to do this because of our Prayer Shawl Ministry at my church. There is one lady in the group who is blind in one eye and I think using the loom will be easier for her. I am the leader of the group so I feel a responsiblity to at least learn how to do this so that I can teach her and the others in the group how to do this. Thanks for your help.

In Christ,

THANK YOU! What a nice idea for hand made gift that is not only pretty but useful as well. The possibilities are endless here: Quilter's journal for the quilter in your life, Knitting journal for the knitter, Recipe book for the cook, ... etc. ... I've downloaded and printed out your wonderfully clear directions and plan to give this a whirl. Given with a nice pen, this will make a wonderful little gift. Thanks a bunch
