I purchased a fat quarter from a LQS that was folded the neatest way. I hope I can explain it to you with these pictures. When fat quarters are folded like this, it makes them organized and easy to look at when choosing colors for a quilt.
fold the fat quarter twice, lenghtwise then fold in half again bring end with selveged edge up tuck the folded edge into the selveged edge this is what the finished fat quarter should look like |
Thanks for the tute. I was just trying to figure out how to fold them like that when I was organizing my stash a couple of weeks ago. I always have the raw edges sticking out everywhere.

Wow that is really neat. I should get mine organized and do that. Thanks for sharing. ;)

Funny that's exactly how I used to fold newspapers when I helped my brother on his paper route in the 1950's. :D
I never thought to fold my fat quarters that way. Thanks for the idea! |
Great technique. Keeps them nice and neat. Thank you.

Great idea! Takes up alot less room when they are all folded neatly and the same too.

That's cool. I need to try it on mine. Thanks.
