How cool is that? I love your idea for using the leftovers, too.

I came across this tutorial while wandering around here last week and now I have become a D4P maniac lol! I can't stop making these. Going to put this together for my bed and just wanted to say a big Thank You to cjomomma for the lesson and inspiration. I am a new quilter and this has really helped me out - the best way to learn is to just jump in and try and I am really liking this :). Thank you again cjomomma!!!

One question, if my squares are 5 or 6 inches, would I still use the 2 inch ruler or do I need to make first cuts wider as the starting blocks are larger? Can't wait to try this, I LOVE when simple techniques make for intricate looking blocks. I am thinking I am going with really dark for one block and a lighter version for the other block, possibly same color way. I'll try to post pic if I get it done. Thank you so much for this tute, it's EASY to understand and always better when you have pics to help.
