I just pushed pinned a flannel sheet to the wall. another way is to use the styrafoam behind itm you can just glue it to the wall or frameit and put flannel on top of it.

I love the ribbons also. I have a full-size portable design wall but it can be a hassle to set up. Plus my cats think it is a climbing wall just for them!
This one I can prop against the furniture and easily move it to safety when I need to.

You have some really cool design walls - I love that you used a darker blue to cover the boards. All I've ever seen are white design walls. The color and ribbons are very nice.
