How presser-feet work, third edition
3 Attachment(s)
This is the third edition of “Domestic Sewing Machine Presser-Feet”.
Although there are many explanations of how to use presser-feet and attachments, I have found no information about how they work. This article is a detailed explanation of the walking, tuck-marker, zig-zag, buttonhole and ruffler attachments. In addition, there is an examination of early (up to about 1915) Singer style sets, which are often in "puzzle" boxes. I had to split the file into three parts to upload it. |
Thank You for all this interesting info. My husband loves knowing just how things work. He is going to like this. I am going to print it out for him.

What wealth of knowledge you have shared! I'm teaching sewing to a 16 year old who received a treadle for her birthday. She is fascinated with the box of feet and accessories and you have provided a great teaching tool with these documents. The "then vs now" pricing provides quite an historical reference. Thank you.
