Do you want to share your EQ designs with others on the board?
First you have to convert your EQ files to PDF files using a program called a PDF writer. I use this one: http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp It's free and easy to use. To convert the block or quilt to a pdf file just select your print option (in your EQ program) and then select the cutepdf writer as your printer. It will automatically save the blocks and quilts as a pdf in a folder of your choice. I am using this website to store my EQ and PDF files: http://www.box.net It's free for a small amount of storage or you can pay if you need larger storage. Here are step by step photos explaining how to do this..... http://inlinethumb12.webshots.com/40...600x600Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb35.webshots.com/26...600x600Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb46.webshots.com/41...600x600Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb42.webshots.com/41...600x600Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb34.webshots.com/17...600x600Q85.jpg |

thanks so much Cissyquilts!!! Once August is over and I have my projects completed that have time limits on them, I hope to get back to doing more with my EQ. I will definetely try those links and share some of my EQ designs down the road!!

Oh thank you so much for sharing this info! I have been struggling with that exact question for quite awhile. I have a pile of quilts patterns and couldn't figure out how to share them lol.
Again, thank you! |

I have EQ5, I have downloaded the cutepdfwriter from your link, and tried to follow all the steps, but after I've selected the cute PDF writer on the page setup and clicked okay I don't get the box that comes up to ask me to name the file and to choose a folder to save it in. Any suggestions?

Testing.....hope you can bear with me, if I can try to get this figured out here, as unfortunately you can't see what's happening on the preview screen.

Just found this. Too Awesome. Thanks Bunches. Now to pull out my new book I just bought to learn EQ6 and I will be all set. :D

If you can't get the PDF to work you can covert EQ files to JPEG or Bitmap. Go to your project folder and do a save as and change it to JPEG.

I've been using the same one for ages - if I see a quilt pattern online, instead of printing it out, I make a pdf file out of it and can print it only when I need it. So many sites change frequently, bookmarks can be unreliable.

Am I missing something? I am not getting a printer choice...
|
Ok, I got it to print to pdf... how to get the entire quilt in to one pdf? Seems I have to print quilt to a pdf, print yardage to a seperate pdf & each block to seperate pdf.... Is this how you all have to do it too?
If no, I'd appreciate a bit of guidance tyvm |
Wow, this would make a beautiful quilt. Have you made one yet?
|
I will try this later. no time now
