I've had a few requests for how to do this stitch. I've uploaded a photo of the stitch on a block and a photo of some instructions. It's a very easy stitch to do, just takes a little more time.

These stitches give great texture to you stain glass. Love it!!

It looks like a variation on "Satchico Nodonza" which is an ancient Jappanese form of quilting. Nice work!

I looked online for what you mentioned, but could only find the Japanese quilt artist Sashiko Segawa. And, although her quilts are beautiful, I don't see the correlation. She does have some amazing quilt designs though.
