Beautiful!!

Great tut Melody. I have tubs of the dyes and have never really done it but love the ice technique. Something to be aware of tho.... The dyes that come in powder form, cause one to be sensitized, if inhaled for a period of time. It is recommended to wear a mask when sprinkling the powder. Once the powder is dissolved into liquid it is fine.

Oh, this is cool! And seems SO easy!

I just found this while browsing thru tutes. Thanks for posting it!
Great use icemaker ice, which I detest the taste of generally. (I make my ice with reverse osmosis filtered water in the mini ziploc disposable cups for a nice chunk of ice per glass.:)) Jan in VA |
I have a front loading machine. Stupid question... do I add the dawn dish soap in the disperser with the regular laundry soap? Im guessing that's the only way? I'm just worried about damaging my machine since they specify that only high eficiency soaps are used.

Do you ever scrunch up another piece of fabric and lay in the sink underneath the fabric laying on the grid and allow the drips to dye that one too while you're at it?

I just came across this tutorial. Wow! It looks like so much fun. You made such awesome fabric. What is one more project! lol I never get tired of learning new things. Thank you so much

I didn't know it was so easy! Now what I want to know does the dye wash out of your sink???
