Bookmarked! Thank you.

I found her site right before I was going to have a plexiglass extention table made for my machine. This was a lot cheaper, and I can make my table as large as I like. The clear vinyl is smooth and now I can actually machine quilt!

Did that a couple of years ago. Great move! I have space to the right, where I keep "stuff". The only draw back - I didn't make a large enough access port to reach the power switch on the machine. I guess it isn't major enough, I haven't carved out a larger hole, just stick my fingers into the pit. If I made the hole any larger, it would probably suck in my "stuff" like a black hole.

Thanks for sharing--you have been very creative in your solution!

Thank you for posting!! Way cool.

And... I'm THOROUGHLY ENJOYING my fantastic new table! It's just the right height now, and level with my sewing machine so I don't have my fabrics falling off the edge as I sew.

I made one like this too and really love it. I had the plexiglass table already but now I'm thinking I might modify my foam table to fit around the plexi extension table. I really like having that area under the plexiglass to set things. Will let you know if it works out!

I have learned a lot from Marguerita's videos on youtube on this subject and sewing as well. I recently got her little book on ergonomics when sewing which covers variations of the table, chairs, layouts, etc. She wrote it especially for those who may be not be computer savvy, or have access to the internet. She is a clever & frugal lady. I have enjoyed following her ideas.
