I was using 1/8 inch grid graph paper for the small designs.

Awesome. You've done a great job.

you plan to follow these awesome patterns and make some blocks?

I know this is a basic question....
I don't use graph paper to design.....how do you translate these into fabric?
Do you cut out the paper and create templates from them?
Or do you number them somehow for paper piecing?

There are some great designs here!

I would enlarge the blocks to a manageable size - then I would paste the needed pieces on to template plastic, add seam allowances to the pieces, and then cut out the pattern/template from the plastic.

It was a great exercise to see how one pattern could morph into another - or how similar some of them are - a line added here - a line taken out there - - -

That is a spectacular sampler quilt! I am starting to like white, gray, and yellow together.

Thank you Bearisgray for helping me understand! I'm not sure I would have the patience. But the possibilities seem endless!

I love the gray & yellow quilt! Wow, a lot of work!
