Gwyn: I don't have enough of the pansey to do this. I want to do at least the full/twin and I need 2 1/4 yds of the focal fabric. I sent Missy an idea of some that I could purchase and am waiting on her response, however, IF you have enough of that beautiful bird fabric and with your generous offer I would love to purchase it from you!!!! You are really an angel and I can't thank you enough!!!! As soon as I hear from Missy, I will let you know!!

Blessings to you!!!!

Thank you, Carsey. I am wondering how it will come together myself.

Good evening Missy - i am not too sure if anyone else is having the same problem as me, but Clue 2 - Step 8 - when i have joined all the wonderfully PERFECT ( ) edges together to make our first block you show the centre as being "CUT" is that correct to make the centre not bulky! How far down do you cut and do you go through the material right next to the centre stitching lines. If this is not the case, i do not know how to fold them both different ways like the other 2 sides which are immediately facing the opposite ways when joined.. Hoping i am making sense. :? I am scared that if i cut - i will make the stitching come UNDONE.
Thanks CQ

It's not "cut" use your fingers and just go opposite ways on the seam. it should come slightly apart. if you need to only take one or two stitches out. You don't need much, and don't go past your sewing line in the other direction!! I hope this helps.
Watch this video http://www.hgtv.com/video/tennessee-...deo/index.html at the end.. like the last 30 seconds or so... and you'll see what I mean. she shows you how to do it. :)

Thanks very much Missy. Having such fun. Just waiting for my more material to arrive and sewn what i can in the mean time. Will post picture once i have perfected the ending of Clue 2. Cannot wait to see what we do next. I have so far clocked 9 1/2 hours of work already. Doing this out of interest sake. People do NOT BELIEVE (that is non quilters) how long it takes to sew..... :x
OH KNOW THE SITE IS NOT WORKING?

Or how many pieces we actually lovingly iron, cut and sew. Did the video not work? Or is it the board that is giving you problems? I'm glad that you are enjoying the mystery! I am enjoying seeing all of your hard work! Hugs..

I am really enjoying this experience. This is my first mystery quilt. It is great for a beginner because I have been pushing my skills, but at the same time, I am not overwhelmed with how many steps there are because we see one set each week. I can't say that my squares will be "perfect", but I always say that is what makes it truely hand made!
I will post pics when I get home and the little guy gives me a chance to take some and post some!
:)
