I sure will!!! : )

Painiacs 05-07-2011 08:02 PM

I thought it said boxer shorts! Lol

imcraftee 05-07-2011 08:05 PM

I guess I could just make the front and applique them on a block, lol! Would that work??? ;-)

So did I. What is a boxer short block?

imcraftee 05-07-2011 08:11 PM

It's a block with what looks like boxers on it. The theme of the round robin is something that reminds you of your dad....I thought of boxer shorts, lol......I've seen a pattern, but can't remember where????

twinkie 05-08-2011 02:40 AM

I am not familiar with that pattern. Did you Google it?

Why not get a piece of graph paper and draw out a pic of a pair of boxer shorts and then use it to pp it? Do in a outlandish plaid or something with hearts on it. LOL Then just stitch in the fly area?

ljfox 05-08-2011 04:56 AM

I have to follow this thread. I would love to see that pattern. It would be perfect for my husband.

I copied that pattern and it is SOMEWHERE. I'll have to sift through all of my binders and see if I can come up with it. Can't do it today. Happy Mother's Day. Would you PM me so I won't forget to look?

Don't know if this is what you could use but but here is the only thing that I found quickly:

Really, there is not much to this so as someone else said, you could just draw your own. Good luck.

Darcene 05-08-2011 06:10 AM

I have a pattern for a boxer short block....take a look at the following:

I think McCall,s has the block pattern.

imcraftee 05-08-2011 07:36 AM

The Cedar Creek Pattern would be perfect!!! But, if you can find your pattern GailG I would like to see it first! Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!

I'll have to take a picture of this quilt to let you all see it!

I was going to add an extra....we were laughing wouldn't it be funny to put some briefs on some of the blocks, then someone said, what about a Speedo!!! Then it got even better....one block I am going to make the speedo, but put a kilt over the top with a kilt pin to keep it closed as a joke!!! LOL! We have a great round robin group with a wonderful scense of humor! My next medallion for Round Robin is going to be the leg lamp fronm the Christmas story! I'll post a pic when I'm done, making my own fishnet stocking leg, LOL! IT's going to be a hoot!

Silly me, I thought you were looking for a pattern for a boxer dog applique. I do have that if anyone is looking for one.

AnnT 05-08-2011 09:53 AM

I've been looking, but nothing yet. I know it's here somewhere. I may be wrong, but it think it was paper pieced.

That one from quilter's home mag should work.....just add some elastic. Then go to the other one for fabric ideas. They used some really good ones.

Rainbow 05-08-2011 04:10 PM

Now THIS ONE I could make....

IF you find it would you post for all of us to see??

imcraftee 05-08-2011 04:48 PM

I think I can draw a pattern close to the Cedar Creek one, then take elastic and and sew a strip for the waste band while it's stretched so it looks like the top of boxers and sew along the top. I'm going to give it a try. I have all kinds of plades to play with. I'll post what I come up with : )

Boxer short quilts I made for my twin grandsons.
I would suggest, if making a quilt (not wall-hanging), that a child's size pattern using of front shorts be used. The shorts are quite tiny for the wall-hanging pattern and it distorts as it's enlarged. SUCH A FUN quilt to make.

topper1 05-09-2011 04:34 AM

seen that before but u can draw it out it wouldnt be hard..just need genereal shpe of boxers....add string waist look to it......with thread or yarn piece couched....

What a great idea and a gift that your grandsons will treasure.

I've seen a pattern for the boxer shorts on fatcatpatterns.com. I think it's listed as laundry time.

jazzy519 05-09-2011 08:09 PM

fatcat.com has boxer and tee shirts hanging on clothes line.

quiltcarrie1 05-10-2011 09:50 AM

www.fatcatpatterns.com

sorry it was fatcatpatterns.com

mequilter 05-13-2011 06:38 AM

The pattern for the boxer & tee shirts is under the "Miscellanous" tab on the left hand side of the page. It may be called Laundry Time if I recall correctly.
