thank you so much! I have a twin sized quilt I'm making for my brother that I told him I'm FMQ for the first time and he said whatever. I also told him that where I start may look a little bad and he said if you mess it up you'll just have to make me another. Well, even if I mess up, I'm not telling him! Maybe now I won't mess up. I'm also bookmarking this for future reference!!!

I am new to quilting and have only stitched in the ditch. Love, love, love this visual to try stippling. I read you can practice stitching on FELT to get the feel of a quilt sandwich. (and felt is cheap) Thanks SEW much! copycat

Thanks, copycat! I love your suggestion about practicing on felt. I'm going to pick some up today and give it a try.

I have never tried to stipple before, but your method seems so much easier to me, so I am going to give it a try. Thanks so much! Sue

Just in the nick of time! I've been practicing tonight to try my hand at FMQ. I was about ready to look for another method. I think this will help tremendously!

Thanks so much, I always seem to back myself into some area and my meandering gets smaller and smaller, this will be a great way to control it.
