or my husband would bring me home some from work, they purchased it in big drums - you only need just a bit more than 1 cup.....so a small package should do it - silica sand is very very tiny glass beads and a lot of mechanical shops use it for glass beading vehicle parts in their cleaning process) He is a heavy duty mechanic and they work on very large equipment. |

Thanks for the tutorial. I purchased one of these and could never find a pattern to make one. The band that held mine open broke so I cut a rim of a used bleach bottle (our something stiff like that) and put that in the rim area. It holds it open very nicely now.
