These blocks are 4"X8" and can be easily chained sewed so that the construction goes very quickly...
You MUST have all of your fabric facing right side up while cutting it out!!! Or you will end up with pieces that are slanted the wrong way!!!! This quilt finishes at 44"X56" and I will put the fabric requirements, templates and rotary cutting guide up for it also. The border is 2" and the binding 1/2". You can make this two colored like the first two or multi colored like the second set of examples. I put the requirements up for the multi colored one, but you can adjust that one to your own design choices...but this way I thought it would be easier so you would know what is border fabrics, blocks, etc... I will also put up a couple of more design options you can do with these blocks....same templates, different layouts. The 3rd multi colored one will need yardage adjustments to get the solid fabrics around the outside edge. |

Oh, I should tell you how I quilted mine.
I just stitched in the ditch around the "stars". I then did an X sort of thing down the Big border. I wasn't going to quilt it, but decided to do it at the last minute. So, stitching around all the stars, then along the borders, and it looked great. I used 2 different colors for the thread and it came out great! |
Amma, you and Terri, make a great team! I love these, and she proved to all of us, how fast it can go...But...I won't be working at warp speed on one, like Terri.
She's got all that Jungle Juice going for her, ya know...LOL! |
Thank you!

Ooooo, another to add to my to do list.

The one I made, I was going to make it the 12 blocks, but with the time constraint, I decided 9 would do. Would just make it a little bigger with the extra big border. It still came out about 60x60 which is a good size. |
YAY!!!!
the best part is, it looks easy to change sizes. it could be baby size or king size. i love size versatility. thank you so much amma. |
You are so welcome!!! And yes, it is very simple to change the sizes of the templates!!! Don't forget to post pictures of the one you make to, please!!!
|
Thank you very much.

Thank you, Amma <wave>

I am new to this site and can't down load a quilt tutorial. What am I doing wrong?
|
If you look at the lower right hand corner on the box, click on the word "download" and that should work for you.
You will need to have Adobe Reader downloaded on your computer to open and read PDF files like these. If you need more help, please let us know and we can help walk you through what ever is needed so that you can do these downloads  :D |
Wow Thanks for sharing what a cool pattern. I will try this one out for sure. Isn't it neat how the blocks can be turned and make a different pattern.
|
Thanks for sharing I think this is another to do project for sure!
|
It's a really nice pattern that Amma made. I've made 3 quilts with it.
Just make sure all fabric is right side up or you'll not get it right, unless you are wanting a different look. |
