Don't you ever have any problem with the bias edges of the blocks? Or are your strips cut on the bias?.....that would make the blocks come out on the "square"....great tute, by the way....very, very clever.

I have had people challenge me about the bias. I never pay any attention to bias. When I piece I use a tack -stitch a couple of stitches across where any seams meet-- and I also tack at each end of two blocks where the seam will go through so the tack is covered by the seam. this makes the fabric stay in place and bias isn't an issue.

Like Rhonda, I've done many blocks with this method and never paid attention to the bias. I starch all my fabrics before beginning, and they stay square.

Thanks so much, Rhonda...I'd never heard that tip about tacking across the seam edges....it makes perfect sense! DUH!!! :) I'll try this....ooooohhhhh....the possibilities are endless.......
