Round Trivet with Bias Binding

3 Attachment(s)
Here's the tute I promised about how to make my round trivets/hotpads. I've included a LOT of pictures, so I put it all in a PDF file for you. It's has start-to-finish intructions, and includes detailed instructions on how I join the bias binding on these as well as some info on quilting them.

Open the TrivetTute.pdf at the end of this post to see the complete tutorial.

Hope you enjoy the tute!

Please PM me if you have questions.

Excellent tute. Thank you.

SewExtremeSeams 04-03-2012 08:39 AM

Thank you for an excellent tutorial. I learned a few things to add to my binding on quilts (gluing the first few inches and also slipstitching the prepared end to the working end of the binding). That makes it even more finished.

annies-best 04-03-2012 08:41 AM

thanks these will be fun to work on between bigger projects

noveltyjunkie 04-03-2012 06:56 PM

Thank you for this! You make it look very do-able and I am thinking that I have plllllllllllenty of time to make some of these for Christmas presents- we all need extra trivets at that time of year I think.

Your instructions are excellent and easy to follow- thanks for taking the time to share.
