This is so neat, use to use rags years ago to make them, fun to do

What size needle do you use. I have seen these before but am afraid of breaking needles right and left. This may have been asked already and appoligize if it has but not sure I want to read through 29 pages.
Thanks a bunch

I'm confused about the sewing. Do you do something special with the tension? I cannot imagine sewing through rope, but I love the idea!

I use this same technique to make bowls, baskets, purses & hot mats. It is a lot of fun. Nancy

You can make placemats doing this also, either scrappy or cut your strips of material in the colors you want. There are a number of neat things you can do with the rope and fabric.
