I had some cotton that got fringed in the wash. You can do that or just hem a 14" strip. You also need a bunch of pins, a styrofoam ball, a 6" square for the body, and a big button.

The strip is 3 1/2 " at center and tapers to about 2"

Gather the bottom to make the tail.

Cut a styrofoam ball with a serrated knife. Cut a slice off the bottom & the back.

Pin the tail securely

Use about 6". Pin to the bottom of the styofoam ball and bring the sides up. Pin well. Leftover is then twisted into a neck. Secure with pins or wrapwith a rubber band.l

Now you are ready to add the head & decorate.

I used a big button, beads, pins, and a scrap. You could use felt, a yo yo, whatever,
