Thanks for the specifics. I've seen this, but didn't quite know how to do it.

That is really pretty and is more of the size that I would want to make. How many strips did you start with? The other thing I notice is that some of the strips seem to be as long as the width (as its hanging) of the top. What length were each of the strips?

The only way to make it more of a rectangle would be to (a) add more strips to get the size you want and/or (b) add borders.

Hi Jinnie, After reading your post I had to write to say that two years ago I had surgery on my right shoulder. A completely torn rotator cuff, torn bicep, bone spur and arthritis. It was a lot of therapy afterwards, but I did exactly what the doctor told me to do. And now I'm happy to say my shoulder is like brand new. So don't skip any part of the therapy and I'm sure you will be happy with the results. I'm 76 and feel proud that I did it.

I really like this idea and will need to purchase my first jellyroll. I am thinking of cutting the jellyroll in half to make it even more blending and colorful than the longer strips do. The directions and pics are extremely helpful. This will be my next quilt. Wish I had this at my Retreat last week altho I kept plenty busy. I may buy 2 jellyrolls and save one for my Retreat next March. Thanks ever so much.
