A long time ago - I thought the 30-60-90 triangles would work for the triangle in a square unit (Doreen Speckmann called that unit Peaky and Spike). I was mistaken.

Sometimes it is easier to make a template for a unit than to have to think about how to cut each piece. It is also important to remember that the triangle in a square unit requires reverse triangles for the skinny side triangles.

Thanks. Great explanation. Seeing it always helps with the understanding.
