I looked for a Warm Wishes pattern. This is the original recipe.

I love the layout of Warm Wishes done by krafty14 at the bottom of this page......http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-129054-4.htm . I have made it twice, and it works up beautifully! C9P

Fabaddict 08-02-2011 05:10 AM

if you go to quiltmaker.com and click on Linus quilts, you will get the crib size one.

ShowMama 08-02-2011 05:10 AM

Warm Wishes is one of my favorite patterns and I've used it a number of times now. It goes together so quickly and easily, and it works equally as well in any size quilt, from crib size to king size.

Love this layout. Wish I could "see" things like this when I work with a pattern.

Just finished one for a quick gift for a girl in my office. It went together so fast and looks so complicated. My co-worker loved it and couldn't wait to show it to her new husband.

Thanks for the link. I printed the pattern.

My daughter is making this quilt for her very first quilt ever (took getting a boyfriend for her to have any interest in quilting). Going together great.

Thanks!

Warm Wishes is also one of my favs. I think the pattern you have looks more complicated because there are more prints than what I usually see. I always use solid fabricss for the strip blocks and a focus fabric for the others. It really works up fast.

Thank you for the link!

this pattern is so much fun and so easy. I read somewhere that if you use the darkest color (of the three- stipe block) as your middle stripe, your blocks will seem 3D. Can't wait to do another one.

I made a quilt for my son (guitars, music notes, etc) and wanted the black and red dominant so I put the beige stripe in the middle and the red and black stripes on either side. I looked nice, but I wish I had put the black in the middle.

I've made two quilts from the WW pattern and I plan to make at least one more for my mother. I love this pattern.

ibeesewin 08-02-2011 11:42 AM

Thanks for the pattern.

GramaLaura 08-02-2011 12:49 PM

Thank you :-D

I'm quilting a "Warm Wishes" now! Love the pattern.

JuanitaBean 08-02-2011 03:22 PM

Thaks!

pattypurple 08-02-2011 05:18 PM

It is such a versatile pattern. I made one with my 4 patch posie squares as the focus fabric. I'm thinking that maybe a scrappy strip square might work also.

Dee Dee 08-02-2011 05:42 PM

The pattern will really show off a beautiful fabric design. Thanks so much!

I have a question about copyrights. I know the
Warm Wishes pattern is available from the Linus group, and on line. Everyone seems to be making them, including me. But are we free to download, print, and distribute the pattern to our charity sewing group? This question includes all 'free' patterns from magazinesl, that are or were originally copyrighted, but now available on the net. Would like some knowledable input on this. Thanks. I do strictly charity,& Quilts of Valor, using ideas from posted photos. Many are simple strip or string quilt ideas that anyone can look at and graph out. How strict are thses guidelines? Do we need to contact each designer personally? What are your feelings on this subject? :?:

I am thankful to see this quilt and get the pattern! Looks easy.

Sherome 08-05-2011 05:57 AM

Those colors make this so stunning. This is a quick one that would make a great gift.

I think if you are not profiting from the pattern then you are free to do whatever you want with it. Money/profit is the issue.
