There is a tutorial in one of the quilt magazine from last month. Here is the exact info:

American Patchwork & quilting from Better Homes and Garden. Feb. 2011 Issue 108

Good luck and I hope that you will share your projects with us.

Now I'm in trouble...
Someone gave me a huge... huge bag of zippers a number of years ago. Being the pack rat that I am... I knew that someday I would discover a use for them.
Well, the day is here!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!
Whoever thinks this stuff up... I'm glad they do!!!

misseva 02-11-2011 10:41 AM

I have a purse that has a big gold zipper flower on it. Love it.

pocoellie 02-11-2011 11:17 AM

Of course, this is AFTER I got rid of all my zippers. LOL

There was a "Sewing with Nancy" show on the local learning channel that dealt with that. You can go online to her sight and find it.

joycedodie 02-11-2011 01:52 PM

Hi,
Watched Sewing with Nacy last week, she had Mary Mulari on and her book is called SStress Free Zipper Creations. Really clever.

nana2 02-11-2011 05:02 PM

Just a couple of weeks ago these were demoed on Sewing with Nancy. I am sure there was a book that can be ordered through her site.

JUNEC 02-11-2011 05:19 PM

What a fabulous way to use zippers - and I have a new (well 4 mos old) granddaughter

Debra Mc 02-11-2011 06:22 PM

I have seen this on Nancy Ziemans site. The zippers are expensive.

penski 02-11-2011 06:25 PM

i saw those a couple months ago there are many things you can make from the older metal zippers , google it and a lot come up

momcpo 02-11-2011 06:41 PM

Way Cool! I have to make one of these. I love broaches and these look so nostalgic.

jitkaau 02-11-2011 07:02 PM

I think I saw a tutorial on Sewing with Nancy. Nancy Zieman and she and another lady have collaborated on books to use zippers in interesting ways. You probably have easier access to the shows than I. Here is the link to the books:
