Default Another pile of squares...

Most of the beautiest quilts start with a simple square of fabric. I've found a pile of soft-colored fabrics And i cut it into.... correct: into squares:

Now we need a contrasting fabric. I choose (chose? ) a deep dark chocolate-soft brown. And I cut it into.... na? Na? Squares!!!!

"Cut 'n sew" is the mantra of a quilter... so do i.

*mumble* "cut n sew, cut n sew cut n sew..."

And what want we do with a ninepatch? Correct: Cut n sew! Cut n sew!

Your tutorial was like a mystery story with every cut delivering another twist. It was educational and inspiring. I love the sew, cut up, and sew again type blocks. I have bookmarked your tutorial for future reference. Thank you!

You are so right it all starts with squares. Beautiful color selections too. Beautiful quilt is the outcome.
