Trim your batting scrap straight and then sew and flip fabric scraps along it.[ATTACH=CONFIG]567941[/ATTACH]

Once you have filled your batting strip trim the rough edges and then sew the strips together with 1 inch fabric strips. The fabric strip without batting has the 1/4 inch seam allowances with the batting to fill behind it when sewn together. I can see some potholders and placemats in my future.[ATTACH=CONFIG]567942[/ATTACH]

Lovely, lovely. I can see you piecing them into, say, 12" scrappy blocks. when you have enough for a quilt, piece those "placemats" together and it will be gorgeous. Your choice of fabrics and colors is great!

In the first pictures your scraps looked bigger...thanks for sharing the pot holder size to give us an idea of how small your scraps are. And thanks for sharing...we all have scraps of both fabric and batting...
