What size needle do you use. I have seen these before but am afraid of breaking needles right and left. This may have been asked already and appoligize if it has but not sure I want to read through 29 pages.

I'm confused about the sewing. Do you do something special with the tension? I cannot imagine sewing through rope, but I love the idea!
