Thank you so much for putting up such clear and precise directions and photos. I have tried in the past to "get" this method but had trouble following and somehow my binding never sat flat or looked right around the join.

Tartan......your method is exactly what I do. I got my method from The Better Homes and Gardens book Complete Guide to Quilting (My quilt Bible!), It is full of great methods and all with pictures......

good tutorial..I have been doing this for a long time now....if there is no selvedge on the end I leave a bit of fabric the same size and it really helps to line up properly...
