Anyone have some tips for beginner quilting of this wonderful Big Star. I'm semi good at SID but TERRIBLE at FMG on my Janome 6600, thanks in advance for any help.

First time I saw this. Thanks! I was going to whip a couple of Christmas quilts for my GS's and I believe this will be it!

I love this star block because you can make it any size. I made the big blocks for my avatar quilt with 10" squares, then I did the small star blocks with 5" square blocks. I pieced small stars on the back of this quilt. It was fun to put together. I'm planning to make a red, white, and blue star to use as a patriotic front door decoration for the patriotic holidays.

Isn't there a "you tube" video on making the "Carpenter Star". Am thinking you need 3 fabrics (total of 6 squares
or 2 of each fabric). This makes a quick, large block.
