You are right!! These are simple yet pretty to make. I just made six within a half hour. Thanks again for posting how to do them. A picture says a thousand words!!

I've made a few and they're SEW MUCH FUN! I showed one to my 'Goth' daughter and asked her if she would like one. She said, '. . sure' so I asked her to pick out whatever fabric she liked from my stash. She picked out 30's reproduction prints!! Can you believe it??? I was stunned. I whipped one up for her while she was getting ready.

To her credit, she worked for me in my quilt shop so she has some pretty diverse taste in fabric.

I made one for my Secret Pal and will be making some for my friendship group too. Fun fun fun!!

Jane

I wish I saw this a few days ago so I could have included one in my package to my SS. But I plan to make a bunch for little handouts for Christmas.

I'd like to thank you for this tutorial, because I made about ten of them for the overseas Christmas boxes for the older girls. Thought it an awesome, fast gift. Thanks again

Get back to us about Jan. 2. I'll bet anything you'll end up make a couple dozen on top of the 10 you have in mind!

i think so - i have about 12 more cut out! one year she complained that she was always running out of check book registers - i worked at a bank at the time and got about 12 of them and wrapped them up and told her she had one for every month of the year! on another note, i belong to a sewing group where we are planning on having a "spring break at the schoolhouse" craft show to raise money for the upkeep of our little building we use - at one time it was a schoolhouse - my dad's cousin went to school there! i figured it is a great way to use up some scraps and if we sell some - great! if not there is always a use for them!
