quiltersew - I think it could, yes. Maybe get some graph paper and draw it out to see how the browns and pinks would look best arranged. There are free printable graph papers at incompetech.com

I would do it in alternating "rounds" of pink and brown, so that there is always a good value contrast.

Thanks for the great tutorial, I agree, the quilt's so bright and pretty and could be either boy or girl and looks quick to make using those "I don't-know-what-to-do-with-these-yet-pieces". The coloring page helps make it clear too.

Thank you! I love multi colored quilts.
I made 4 baby rag quilts this winter (during the many homebound snowstorm days) and would like to do something different.
